Key Skills

  • Strong math skills, English to metric unit conversion, fraction to decimal conversion, and basic geometry and trigonometry
  • Comfortable with computers

  • May have to work on top of or below machines
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting, computer diagnostics and electromechanical aptitude, team environment
  • Knowledge of tools: wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, vice grips, and other hand tools
  • Machine builder focus on mechanical aptitude little electronics, build complex machines following drawings and schematics
  • Work directly with customers
  • Ability to measure using a ruler and/or tape measure, using micrometers, or using other measuring tools is a bonus
