Key Skills

  • Strong math skills, English to metric unit conversion, fraction to decimal conversion, and basic geometry and trigonometry
  • Focus on all welding parameters some experience required
  • Multi tasking is essential
  • Good communication verbal and written
  • Ability to work with your hands (mechanical aptitude)
  • May have to work on top of or below machines
  • Knowledge of tools: wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, vice grips, and other hand tools
  • Ability to follow written instructions and drawings
  • Ability to measure using a ruler and/or tape measure, using micrometers, or using other measuring tools is a bonus

  • Mid level of self confidence, Likes to work independently, likes working with hands, good communication skills
  • Likes video games, likes repairing bikes, lawnmowers, Motocross, boats, cars or household items

    Safety, learning grinding both edge and cosmetic, AWS and ANSI symbols and assist experience welder

    Mig and Tig Weld as appropriate

    Misc. Robotic, Plasma, spot-welding, ultrasonic, fiber optic, Soldering or other special processes in welding
  • 500 hours
    Job layout and and preparation proper packing and fixturing
  • 1,000 hours
    Understanding inspection versus welding process, drawing interpretations, staging parts to weld and inspect, shrinkage and growth weld sequences
