Key Skills

• Strong math skills, English to metric unit conversion, fraction to decimal conversion, and basic geometry and trigonometry
• Comfortable with computers
• Multi tasking is essential
• Some level of self confidence
• Good communication verbal and written
• Ability to work with your hands (mechanical aptitude)
• Focus on machines and processes required to repair and build jigs, fixtures and tools
• Precise machining, attention to detail, troubleshooting and problem solving
• Knowledge of tools: wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, vice grips, and other hand tools
• Can follow written instructions and drawings
• Ability to measure using a ruler and/or tape measure, using micrometers, or using other measuring tools is a bonus

Character Traits

• Some degree of self confidence, likes to work independently, likes working with hands, good communication skills
• Likes video games, likes making things at home or in school, immediate satisfaction
