FLYAP Unveils Social Media & Marketing Campaign

The Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program (FLYAP) is increasing its outreach to students, families, educators and businesses through its enhanced marketing and outreach program. The efforts include social media outreach, SMS/text messages and digital marketing.

Followers can now keep up to date with the Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Those interested can directly follow the social media accounts through these links:

The Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program will also partner with highly visible social media channels for enhanced digital marketing through various media groups. FLYAP will also utilize an SMS/text message service for the 2023-2024 school year in efforts to better communicate with students. Students can opt into text messages when they apply for the Youth Apprenticeship Program to receive reminders about Matching Days, Signing Days and other special events. Participants can opt out of text messages at any time.

In addition to the new outreach, the program will continue to promote Youth Apprenticeships in advanced manufacturing through radio and billboard advertisements. FLYAP will kick off its fifth school year in September 2023. To date, FLYAP has connected more than 450 students to over 125 businesses in the greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region. Dozens of FLYAP graduates are currently working in advanced manufacturing.

The Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program is a partnership between the Rochester Technology and Manufacturing Association and Monroe Community College. You can learn more about FLYAP at www.fingerlakesyouthapprenticeship.org or contact Team FLYAP at (585) 510-4278 or info@fingerlakesyouthapprenticeship.org.
