Webster – The Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program sponsored Boulter Industrial Contractor’s annual Lift and Move event on My 17th. The career exploration event exposes students to careers in high demand fields like advanced manufacturing.
FLYAP was one of the event sponsors. The FLYAP team also participated in mock interviews for students, provided information about youth apprenticeships and provided an interactive experience.
“Lift and Move gives students a chance to check out great careers in advanced manufacturing and the trades,” said Rich Turner, FLYAP Program Manager. “FLYAP is excited to inform these young people about youth apprenticeship and other workforce development programs.”
The FLYAP team also provided information other workforce programs and had students participate in a demonstration which allows students to take apart and rebuild a skateboard.
